Celebrate a "Night in the Islands" at the Sponge Docks | Arts & Culture

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- The monthly Greek celebration "A Night in the Islands" returns to the historic Tarpon Springs Saturday night.

A Night in the Islands features live Greek music, dancing, and outdoor dining on the world famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks.

This month's celebration features the band Ellada -- an exciting Greek band composed of three of the most accomplished Greek musicians in the state. The band includes George Soffos, bouzouki; Elias Poulos, vocals; Dino Theofilos, keyboard. Ellada will perform nisiotika, the lively traditional music of the Greek islands, as well as old and new Greek favorites.

Admission to A Night in the Islands is free. It runs from 6 -11 p.m. on Dodecanese Boulevard. The event is supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
