Music on the Beach series kicks off Thursday | Community Spirit

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- From jazz to classic rock to blues. If you're a music lover, Tarpon Springs' Music on the Beach series has you covered.

The 2012 season kicks off Thursday with the classic rock group Time Bandits.  The free concerts--which are held once a month at the Sunset Beach pavillion--are held from 7 - 9 p.m.  February's concert will also include at beach bonfire.

The concert series is put together by the volunteer group Friends of Music on the Beach with corporate sponsorship by Sun Toyota.

Future concerts include traditional Irish music from the group Evergreen in March and the Tarpon Springs High School jazz ensemble in April.

A shuttle bus service at Tarpon Springs High is available if the beach parking lots are full.  The shuttles begin at 6:15 p.m.
