Hurricane season is just around the corner, are you ready? | Environment

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- East Lake Fire Rescue is hoping all area residents are. But if you aren't, they have a few tips for you. 

• Be informed, know your evacuation zone and stay tuned to local news
• A weather radio is also a great tool if you lose power
• Have a survival kit prepared in case you aren't in an evacuation zone or chose to "ride it out" at home
• Have an emergency plan in place for evacuations 
• Have all your important documents ready to go with you along with any medicines you will need
